A list of names of ascomycete teliomorphs (including lichens) which have been published or recorded as occurring in the British Isles. Includes host or substrate details.

The list has been assembled uncritically, but is fully referenced. Nevertheless, taking it forward would be a major undertaking and there seems to be no immediate likelihood of this happening for the non-lichenised fungi. Of course lichenologists have their own checklist.

The anamorphs (hyphomycetes, coelomycetes etc) are indexed separately, but again, it is an uncritical summary of what has been published elsewhere. The area is rife with misidentifications and many of the early associations were based on mere proximity.
