Review (by Malcolm Storey)

Although an American book, the content is equally relevant to mycologists in the UK. This is a good starting point for those considering culturing agarics.

Chapters include: recipes, collection of material, laboratory techniques, characteristics of cultures (including development types - all the …carpics), genetic studies (including explanations of hetero/homothallism, tetra-/bi-polarity, spermatia etc) and suggested exercises.

Undated but presumably early 1980’s.
