The Corticiaceae of Northern Europe comprises 8 consecutively paginated volumes totalling 1631 pages.

The introductory volume reviews the terminology, ecology, etc and gives advice on collecting, examination and storage. It includes keys to the genera, beginning with condensed keys which offer a more concise version than the full keys which follow.

Errata, Corrigenda & CommentsKey C is missing couplets 26-29 (p. 58), but these are not used in the key itself, although they are referred to in the condensed key on p40.
Examine Compound Microscope ( with a Microscope using 100x oil-immersion is also useful)
