Review (by Malcolm Storey) | DNA work has shown that Macrolepiota procera (Parasol) and allies are well separated from what we must now call Chlorophyllum rachodes (Shaggy Parasol) and its allies. Furthermore, this latter species actually includes three species which haven’t previously been distinguished. The commonest of these is C. olivieri, with C. brunneum (the old "var hortensis") not far behind. |
