| Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Reports the range expansion of four insect species (two butterflies and two bush crickets) due to global warming. The butterflies have increased the range of habitat types utilised, while the bush crickets have increased the proportion of winged forms. This latter maybe merely a developmental response to higher temperatures rather than evolutionary, but it obviously serves to facilitate range expansion. |
