Review (by Malcolm Storey)

A handy little website presenting a glossary of dipteran anatomy. Photographs of four example flies represent nematocera, lower brachycera, acalyptrates and calyptrates with lateral, dorsal and anterior views of each. A draggable magnifying glass allows x1, x2 or x3 (on top of what is already a highly magnified image).

If you don’t know your katepisternum from your basitarsus or your postocular setae from your postocellar setae, this is the website for you!

Errata, Corrigenda & CommentsAlthough a generally useful site, the term you want is too often not included.
