The nomenclature, distribution and differentiating characteristics of five species belonging to Phoma sect. Plenodomus (Preuss) comb.nov., characterized by scleraplectenchyma: more or less thick-walled hyaline cells in the pycnidial peridium.

Only one of these has been found in our area.
