Review (by Malcolm Storey)

"Nine spp of Ichneumonidae were bred from eight Western Palearctic species of Lycaenidae,

subfamily Lycaeninae. The female of Anisobas brombacheri HEINRICH is described, the correct male is associated with Ichneumon exilicornis WESMAEL, and Virgichneumon tenuipes (BERTHOUMIEU) is characterized by comparison with the closely related V. tergenus (GRAVENHORST).

Host species were newly found for A. brombacheri, I. exilicornis, V. tenuipes and Agrypon anomelas (GRAVENHORST), and dates on their life histories are given. A. brombacheri, I. exilicornis and A. anomelas are all univoltine and well synchronized with their respective host species."
