Review (by Malcolm Storey) | A guide to these strange organisms of the lower sea shore and deeper water. The family key is arguably the least helpful key the present reviewer has encountered. Many of the couplets start with characters common to both alternatives. There are no diagrams relating to the key and even after reading the introduction its is unclear where to find many of the structures referred to. |
Examine | in the Hand ( Stereo Microscope is also useful) |
Specimen Preparation | Dissection often required, with microscopic examination of internal features after removing the outer coat (test) |
