Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Comments on the newly published Funga Nordica and the major changes to taxonomy to which it introduces us. Recounts the history of Inocybe bresadolae and related species. Plugs the BMS’s Autumn Taxonomy Meeting and Martyn Ainsworth’s recent report that Hydnellum and Phellodon each contain one or two misidentifications and undescribed species. Finally, an old plate of Boletus hieroglyphicus (Sturm, 1844) looks as good candidate for the recently-described Xerocomus silwoodensis. |
