Review (by Malcolm Storey) | After the record of Candelabra Coral, Alick suggests other spectacular extinctions to refind: Gomphus clavatus, Pycnoporus cinnabarinus, Hygrophorus erubescens and H. russula. Aleurodiscus wakefieldiae has also turned up again after a long gap (58 years). Ash Die-back and the threat it poses to RBG Kew is discussed. The column concludes by noting a 1990’s record of Ophiocordyceps clavulata. |
