Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Reports the low diversity of its the parasitoids fromKnopper Gall on Pedunculate Oak in this country, where it has only recently become established, compared to Europe. In Britain it is primarily attacked by summer species, whereas in France it is the Autumn species that attack it. |
Specimen Preparation | The gall structure is in two parts so supports two distinct sets of natural enemies: 1) parasitoids in inner cells, ie of the gall former, and 2) inquilines and their parasitoids in the thick outer wall. The two structures should be separated for rearing. sets of natural enemies are distinguished, |
