Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Gelis agilis and Lasius niger both produce 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one (sulcatone). In the ant it is an alarm/panic pheromone. Both species were rejected as prey by wolf spiders when other ichneumons were not. |
