Review (by Malcolm Storey) | E. muscae attacked Delia radicum in March but by May was attacking Coenosia tigrina. Sequencing showed there were two distinct clades with limited gene exchange. Provides the first evidence of recombination and population structure within the E. muscae species complex, and illustrates the complexity of insect-fungus relationships. |
