Review (by Malcolm Storey) | This is the first part of these authors’ monograph of European Marasmius and Collybia, covering the "Marasmioid" species. The introduction is followed by a key to the sections and then to species of Marasmoid fungi in Europe. The key to Marasmiellus follows on p145. The species are treated to very full accounts with synonymy and an (often long) list of collections examined. There are line drawings of microscopy (eg spores, basidia, cheilocystidia, and pileipellis elements). There are plates of good colour photographs at the centre of the work. |
