Annex

The most charismatic waxcap, with a white stalk and a cap the colour of sugar mice or candy floss. Since being made a BAP species, concerted efforts to find it have increased our knowledge and it is now known to be quite widespread and not uncommon. It is found in mossy semi-natural grasslands, although confined to churchyards in the more developed parts of England.
